On People

I don’t see this merely as a story about inheriting a throne. What I see is a young person confronting established customs, inherited expectations, and a social order shaped by the generations before him, while trying to remain faithful to his own convictions. The film makes me think about how strength need not be defined by physical power. Conviction, integrity, and the determination to uphold one’s principles can be forms of strength as well. That, at least, is how I read it.
